US-based supermarket chain Ralphs Grocery Company is set to re-open its remodelled supermarket Portola Plaza in North Mission Viejo on 13 December.

With more than three months of ceiling-to-floor renovations, the remodelled 41,500ft² store features an upscale Ralphs Fresh Fare décor with new departments and services while helping to conserve energy and reduce waste.

Ralphs president Valerie Jabbar said: “Our Portola Plaza supermarket now features an exciting Fresh Fare format that sets the standard for energy-efficiency.

“Our stores use some of the most energy-efficient systems available today, helping to reduce waste and conserve energy.”

“Along with the transformation to a Ralphs Fresh Fare store, we’ve improved every inch of the store by completely redesigning the layout to make shopping easier and expanding key areas to give shoppers even more reasons to think of Ralphs first.”

Marking Ralphs’ 61st Fresh Fare store, the Portola Plaza supermarket will feature meat, bakery and floral departments, along with delicatessen services.

In its daily operations, the remodelled store uses green technology in order to improve energy-efficiency.
