US-based supermarket chain Southeastern Grocers (SEG) has announced the opening of four new Winn-Dixie stores.
Located in Boynton Beach, Gainesville, Jacksonville, and Lakewood Ranch, the stores are the first of eight new Winn-Dixie stores scheduled to open throughout Florida.
Each Winn-Dixie store features fresh produce, offering more than 100 organic varieties, full-service meat departments, and new seafood departments.
Winn-Dixie also offers convenient delivery services.
As part of the opening, the company is offering all active duty and veteran customers an 11% discount.
Southeastern Grocers president and CEO Anthony Hucker said: “We are beyond excited to unveil our four new Winn-Dixie stores to the wonderful communities of Boynton Beach, Gainesville, Jacksonville, and Lakewood Ranch.
“We are proud to provide our customers with a shopping experience that is uniquely crafted for their community.
“At Southeastern Grocers, giving back to our communities is in our DNA, and with our grand openings occurring on Veterans Day, we are proud to recognise the men and women who served our country in the most admirable way.
“We have immense gratitude for those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom, and we look forward to showing all of our new neighbours they can always count on us.”
The company, which also owns BI-LO, Fresco y Más, Harveys Supermarket, will continue the expansion of Winn-Dixie in additional locations, including Fort Myers, Lake Mary, and Melbourne later this year and in Viera early next year.
In August, Southeastern Grocers introduced contactless prescription delivery to enhance customer safety amid coronavirus.
