US-based supermarket chain Southeastern Grocers (SEG) is looking to hire eligible individuals for full and part-time positions in five US states.
The company currently has operations in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and Mississippi and employs 40,000 associates.
To enhance its customer shopping experience, the company aims to upgrade 70% of all its stores in these states by the end of the year.

Last month, SEG opened a Winn-Dixie store in Viera as part of its Florida expansion strategy.

The retailer’s growth strategy also includes strengthening existing stores through a renewal programme and pursuing opportunities to open stores. It aims to open around ten new stores a year.
Last year, the company opened eight Winn-Dixie stores in Florida.
For this, the retailer acquired four Lucky’s Market stores in Fort Myers, Gainesville, Lake Mary and Melbourne, as well as four Earth Fare stores in Boynton Beach, Jacksonville, Lakewood Ranch and Viera.
In a separate development, US closeout retailer Ollie’s is to hold a nationwide recruitment drive on 15 June. It aims to fill 2,000 positions for its network of more than 400 stores.
Retail company Kroger recently announced that it aims to hire 10,000 associates at its stores across the country. The retailer hosted its first nationwide hybrid hiring event, consisting of both virtual and in-store interviews, on 10 June.
