Food retail chain SPAR Austria has extended its partnership with petrol forecourt service operator Doppler Mineralöl for an additional ten years until 2030.
Under the terms of the agreement, it will serve as the exclusive forecourt store partner at Turmöl and BP service stations operated by Doppler.
SPAR will transform all 15 Nah & Frischpunkt forecourt stores into SPAR Express format.
SPAR Austria CEO Friedrich Poppmeier said: “The extended cooperation between SPAR and Doppler, as well as the addition of 15 new stores, shows that our SPAR Express concept is in touch with the latest trends and that we clearly recognise the needs of our customers.”
The food retailer is already planning to expand its forecourt store portfolio in the country with two new outlets to open in Amstetten and Wels.
The company currently operates 50 SPAR Express forecourt stores in Austria.
