Canadian retailer The Beer Store is set to play a central role in the Ontario Government’s accelerated retail expansion plans for beverage alcohol.
The recent announcement by the provincial government has confirmed The Beer Store’s status as the primary distributor of beer in the province.
The Beer Store CEO Roy Benin said: “This announcement underscores our commitment to responsible beer distribution and environmental stewardship. With today’s announcement, we look forward to the next stage in The Beer Store’s evolution.”
Since the 2015 Master Framework Agreement, The Beer Store has successfully navigated the evolving marketplace, which has seen the addition of 450 grocery stores and the expansion of the LCBO’s Liquor Convenience Outlet programme.
The Beer Store employs 6,500 Ontarians, offering a wide selection of beers and responsible service across the province.
Last year, the company’s delivery fleet completed 727,868 deliveries to various outlets, demonstrating its extensive distribution capabilities.
