Australian supermarket chain Woolworths has announced a price reduction on more than 450 winter essentials by an average of 20% until the end of August 2024.
The move is part of the retailer’s ongoing “Prices Dropped for Winter” programme.
The initiative has been a recurring seasonal event for several years.
The programme, running from 29 May to 27 August 2024, includes a variety of fresh proteins, with items such as corned beef silverside and beef chuck steak reaching their lowest prices since 2020.
RSPCA-approved whole chickens are also among the discounted items, catering to the demand for winter meals.
Woolworths supermarkets chief commercial officer Paul Harker said: “We understand the pressures our customers are under and the need to budget for hearty, warming meals and grocery essentials for their families.
