Yesway expands convenience store footprint in US

US-based convenience store chain Yesway has expanded its footprint in the country by acquiring five Rip Griffin Travel Centre convenience stores in Texas.

US-based convenience store chain Yesway has expanded its footprint in the country by acquiring five Rip Griffin Travel Centre convenience stores in Texas.

Two of the five stores are located in Lubbock city, while the others are in Wolfforth, Brownfield and Idalou.

Yesway has also acquired the State Line Convenience store in Joplin, Missouri.

Yesway operations senior vice-president Brian Trout said: “With Yesway, our customers will enjoy great customer service at stores that are true to our brand promise, they’ll be efficient, inviting and friendly.

“We are eager to continue to serve, get to know and be part of their communities.”

By acquiring the new stores, the company expects to further strengthen its presence in Texas and Missouri, as well as increase its existing 80-store portfolio across Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.

Yesway chairman and chief executive officer Thomas Nicholas Trkla said: “We are very proud of our progress and continued expansion, which we expect will continue at an accelerated pace over the next few months.

Yesway aims to acquire, enhance and rebrand an additional 120 to 130 stores a year over the next several years to achieve a 500-location convenience store chain in selected regions across the US.
