The new owner YM has now opened five out of 100 planned Charlotte Russe retail locations across the US.

The new outlets are located at Southland Center in Michigan, Cumberland Mall in Georgia, Willowbrook Mall in New Jersey, Park City Center in Pennsylvania and Monmouth Mall in New Jersey.

Charlotte Russe Holdings, along with its subsidiaries, voluntarily filed bankruptcy protection under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code in the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, this February.

The clothing retail chain completed the sale of its Peek Kids brand and related intellectual property to women and children clothing manufacturer Mamiye Brothers, in April this year.

Before the bankruptcy filing, Charlotte Russe operated 500 brick-and-mortar stores, located in malls and outlet centres, across 48 US states.
