Ahold Delhaize subsidiaries Delhaize Belgium and bol.com have expanded their cooperation with the launch of two new joint initiatives.
The collaboration is part of efforts to create a more seamless shopping experience for customers.
As part of the deal, bol.com will open its pick-up points at all Delhaize stores throughout Flanders, Belgium, starting September.
Customers in Flanders can place orders through bol.com from any of the 63 Delhaize supermarkets, which will be delivered without any extra charge.
In June this year, Delhaize and bol.com tested the pick-up point concept through a pilot programme in the Antwerp region, allowing customers to pick up their orders in Delhaize supermarkets and affiliated Delhaize stores.
The latest deal covers all these participating affiliated stores in the Antwerp region.

Both companies will also hold joint marketing promotion later this month, including an online back-to-school promotion.
As part of the second initiative, Delhaize and bol.com will work to introduce various initiatives over the period between Sinterklaas and Christmas.
This includes the launch of a book of toy trends across Delhaize stores in Belgium, scheduled for this autumn.
The two companies will work collaboratively to offer a convenient service to customers.
In September last year, Delhaize Group unveiled a new supermarket concept location in Nijvel, Belgium.
