Canadian family discount store Giant Tiger has partnered with online grocery platform Instacart to launch a same-day delivery service in Canada.
As part of this partnership, customers can purchase items from more than 180 Giant Tiger stores across the country and have them delivered in a minimum of one hour.

The discount retailer operates more than 260 stores across Canada, offering family fashion, health and beauty, groceries and everyday household products.
The partnership is in line with Giant Tiger’s strategy to optimise its customer experiences and increase its productivity using digital technologies.
Giant Tiger senior vice-president and chief digital officer Simon Rodrigue said: “To better support our customers and access the rapidly growing market of same-day grocery delivery, we are thrilled to announce our partnership with Instacart to make it even easier for Canadians to shop smart and save smart every day.

The company claims to provide deliveries for 90% of households in Canada.

In October last year, Instacart partnered with discount retailer Dollar Tree to launch a one-hour same-day delivery service in the US.
