UK-based music and film retailer HMV has announced the restart of its operations at select stores from 15 June.
HMV will start reopening its retail stores in line with the UK Government’s announcement to allow all non-essential retail to open their doors across England.
As part of this announcement, the retailer will restart about 93 stores.
In a statement, HMV said: “Thank you all for your continued support over the last few months.
“Following the Government guidance, we are excited to announce that a selection of our stores will be reopening from 15th June.
“We will be following the government “Covid Secure” guidelines with reduced store hours to make sure you, our loyal customers and our colleagues are kept safe.

The retailer will implement strict safety measures such as social distancing, use of signage, screens at cash counters, and mandatory hand sanitiser usage during vinyl browsing.
It will also place restrictions on the numbers of shoppers allowed in the stores.
Customers can continue to shop online for click & collect or home delivery.
In January, HMV reportedly confirmed its decision to close three underperforming retail stores located in Bury St Edmunds, Glasgow and Nuneaton.
