North American technology company Instacart and Whole Foods Market Canada have partnered to offer rapid same-day grocery delivery across Canada.

The service, which delivers orders in as little as 30 minutes, will be available in all 14 Whole Foods Market stores in Vancouver, Victoria, Toronto and Ottawa. 11 have already begun offering the service with three more to follow soon.

Instacart+ members will have access to free delivery on orders over $35.

Instacart chief business officer Chris Rogers said: “With this launch, we’re proud to welcome Whole Foods Market Canada to the Instacart marketplace, making same-day delivery in as fast as 30 minutes available to their loyal Canadian customers.

“Both companies are incredibly passionate about providing an exceptional experience to customers, and we’re excited to help Whole Foods Market make its fresh produce, pantry staples and so much more available to millions of Canadians through Instacart.”

Whole Foods Market, which is a subsidiary of e-commerce major Amazon, aims to leverage Instacart’s extensive network of Canadian shoppers for efficient order picking, packing and delivery.
