Supermarket chain Morrisons says it is providing a helping hand to its customers this October by offering a discount of 5p per litre on fuel.

The offer, which is available from Monday, 16 October to Sunday, 22 October, applies to all customers who make a purchase of £35 or more, whether they shop in-store or online, including through the Click & Collect service.

Customers who meet the spending criteria during the specified dates will receive a coupon that entitles them to a 5p per litre discount on fuel.

 These coupons can be redeemed at any of Morrisons’ petrol stations. Customers will have until Monday, October 30th, to take advantage of this discount at the pump.

Helping customers save

This initiative is part of Morrisons’ ongoing efforts to assist its customers in stretching their budgets. In September, the company lowered prices on more than 170 products throughout its stores and introduced ‘More Month.’

Morrisons introduced the More Card earlier this year, offering customers the opportunity to earn five More Points for every litre of fuel purchased at their petrol stations.

More Points can also be earned on select products in-store, at petrol station kiosks and online. Once customers accumulate 5,000 points, they receive a ‘Morrisons Fiver’ that can be spent both in-store and online.

Morrisons chief customer & marketing officer Rachel Eyre explained: “We know that fuel remains a significant cost for many households and so this offer aims to help budgets go a little further.

On top of the 5p per litre discount, More Card customers will still earn their usual five points for every litre of fuel, which will help build up their points so they can be rewarded with Morrisons Fivers.”

Exclusions

It’s important to note that the £35 customer spend requirement excludes certain items.

These exclusions include fuel, tobacco, tobacco-related products (including vapes), lottery products, Morrisons café, gift vouchers, gift cards, infant/formula milk, cash back, dry cleaning, fireworks, online games, instant tickets, photo printing, saver stamps, postage stamps, ‘top-up’ mobile phone cards, delivery charges/pass, garden centre and pharmacy (where applicable).

With 340 filling stations across the UK, the company says its initiative aims to ease the burden of fuel costs for its valued customers throughout the month of October.
