US-based retail outlet chain Cost Plus World Market is set to open its new store in Hyannis, Massachusetts.

Opening tomorrow, the new store will be the retailer's second outlet in the state.

Cost Plus World Market is known for its assortment of home furniture, décor, tabletop items, jewellery and accessories sourced from around the world.

The retailer plans to give various gifts for the first 100 shoppers on the opening day.

Founded in 1958 by William Amthor, Cost Plus World Market today has nearly 280 stores across the US, including the District of Columbia.

Its outlets also stock a selection of 500 international wines, gourmet foods and beverages.

In 2012, the firm became a subsidiary of Bed Bath & Beyond.
