American retailer Target is all set to expand its presence in Canada with the opening of nine new stores in the country in 2014.

Most of the new stores will open in Ontario, with single store additions planned for Quebec, Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia.

Target will first open three stores, including The Stockyards, Toronto, Ontario; Kingsway Mall, Edmonton, Alberta; and Hillside Centre, Victoria, British Columbia in spring 2014.

In summer 2014, the retailer will open stores including Erin Mills Town Centre, Mississauga, Ontario; Park Place, Barrie, Ontario; and Carrefour Candiac, Candiac, Quebec.

The company will finally open the last three stores in fall 2014. These include St. Laurent, Ottawa, Ontario; Sheridan Centre, Mississauga, Ontario; and Polo Park, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
