The store is located at the Viera Village Centre, a 72,600² shopping centre on Murrell Road.
SEG currently operates Winn-Dixie stores in Boynton Beach, Fort Myers, Gainesville, Lakewood Ranch, Lake Mary and West Melbourne, as well as two in Jacksonville. All eight of the stores opened last year.
The Viera store features a farm-fresh produce department that offers fresh and dried peppers, tomatoes and mushrooms.
There is a collection of tropical fruits and berries, an assortment of speciality cheeses and a full-service meats department. The store also features six front-row golf cart parking spaces.
The store’s opening is expected to generate jobs and opportunities for members of the local community.

To mark the store’s opening, Brevard County Commissioner Curt Smith and other community leaders attended a ribbon-cutting event on Wednesday (5 April).
The event featured performances from local entertainers and the local Viera High School Pep Band. A cheque was also presented to Viera High School for $1,000 to give back to future community leaders and help the school fund a new track for sporting events and band performances.
SEG is the parent company and home of Fresco y Más, Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie grocery stores.
The company plans to renew 70% of its stores in the Southeast region by the end of the year.
