Australian supermarket chain Woolworths Group has officially launched its online shopping platform for businesses of all sizes across Australia.

The Woolworths at Work platform will enable employers to purchase fresh food, kitchen and cleaning supplies among other essential products online.

The platform offers more than 20,000 products, ranging from fresh food to stationary and cleaning products, including more than 5,000 Woolworths own-brand products.

Woolworths said its website serves business customers in sectors such as early childhood education, healthcare, charities and offices across Australia.

Woolworths at Work features two-hour delivery windows, an intelligent Work Hub and consolidated billing and credit.

It also offers free next-day delivery for orders of more than $99 and no extra fees for packaging, bulk orders or handling.

The platform has been live in the beta phase since September 2020.

Woolworths at Work general manager Jarad Nass said: “Today we’re officially launching Woolworths at Work in a much stronger position with a much more wholesome offering.

“We started Woolworths at Work in September 2020 with the fundamentals of an online buying platform focused on business consumers.

“This gave us the opportunity to test and learn with our current and future customers from a wide range of industries such as early learning centres to disability, legal and professional services, on how we best build the future of grocery procurement.

“As a result, we’ve created a purpose-built proposition that can be tailored to our customers’ needs and has the potential going forward to transform the way they do their business shopping.”

In May, Woolworths introduced a QR code payment system for its Everyday Rewards mobile app.

The system allows shoppers at Woolworths and Big W stores to pay for their groceries using a QR code linked to a digital wallet on their mobile device.
